Don't want to sound like a noob ( about 60 hours game time ) is there no way of tracking the wake once the Alien ship jumps and perhaps follow its route ?

Just a thought that maybe you can follow them back to a regrouping area for their fleet.

Firstly, it looks like their tech is scrambling the wake scan (I believe it feeds back an unknown destination) .. secondly, you REALLY want to high wake into the middle of their fleet!!?? There's 'bravery' Commander, and then there's .. whatever this is called ...

I know everyone has seen this encounter a million times over by now. There in my vídeo there's something that I haven't been able to see on anyone else's. Towards the end when the ships jumps out, you can actually see a yellow-ish beam being shoot out of it and that actualy tears a hole in space (you can see the craks around it) and actually see inside of said hole, and to me it looks like it tear a hole into another dimension, instead of the "typical inside" of witchspace!

Not sure exactly who sticky'd this one, but you do realise it definitely wasn't a dev right? The forums are moderated by volunteer moderators from the community and they do most of the sticky-ing, along with the community team who like to communicate about, you know, cool things in the game ... which is their job so ... totally outrageous of them to actually do what they are paid to do huh?

Looks like his power plant has been knocked out. You can't disable hud in XO version (to my knowledge)

If the powerplant had been turned off, emergency life support would be active. Even if the countdown didn't show (because the HUD was off), it would still be possible to hear the pilot's breathing on the Remlock mask. I believe it was a selective shutdown of systems. HUD, Drives, FSD, etc., but the life support and power plant were kept on.

Seemingly. It was not part of the "intended" observation objective at the time, just an anomaly noticed after the fact.

More testing could confirm or refute.

Someones got to take the plunge at some stage and if it means for better understanding and information i am all for making the sacrifice ha ha ... ONWARDS !
