Horizons First Engineering Attempt

I am playing SOLO and so far, I have never ran into a hostile in any Degraded Emissions or Encoded Emissions. From what I have experienced, these two make up at least 70% of the USS in Anarchy. Get one every 2-3 minutes when cruising a system collecting exploration data. The most dangerous thing is the RESCUE ONE guys running over you as they hoover up everything in sight.

More time = more risk, that goes for NPCs in solo too.
Since you don't have to go to a USS in the first place, that risk, however small, is *entirely avoidable.*
Once you pick up even 1t of cargo, you become a target for NPC pirates.

If you want to search USSs, by all means do so.
It's a very inefficient way of getting to the Dweller that said.
Had you stolen some goods, you would have been done in the time this thread has taken.

Every time I have done this unlock I just find a source of personal weapons or battle weapons and go to outposts where they are forbidden cargo (with active black markets) - buy 5 thingies, go flog one each place - hey presto - hello Dweller.

I had issues with the Black Market thingie, cause I did it a few times and it didn't get counted for some reason, finally got it done after 10 or so stops at black markets.

On a side note, I have a DSS Long Range roll of 200%. That's the best I have been able to achieve on 20 or so rolls pre-3.0

Humnnn.. With 3.0 I need to rethink this since now all the "ANCIENT" stuff is legal salvage. Artwork may also be legal. I was dropping out for all the degraded USS I saw while exploring my way to the lawless black market.
Also now need carbon to do FSD Injection but the amount of materials you can carry has been massively expanded.
