Well, for some of us it's the trip, not the destination... for others... it's that.
Just set out on my trip to Sag A*. Decided to take a wide birth before heading their to try and use a path nobody has tread on before. 20 jumps later from leaving the bubble I nearly got burn to a crisp in this system. I was burning up to 74 degrees before even moving the ship after I jumped into the system and had to make a mad rush to get away from the suns.

Most likely because you are too far away. I've been to Colonia and back without using any FSD jump boost on any of the hops, and didn't use any neutron stars either that might make the map plotter fail - 35ly jumps (max) all the way their and back. But still, I can't plot a Route back to Colonia from the bubble if using the games MAP plotting with a ship that can jump more than 35ly.
If you're worried you can't get their because one of the jumps exceeds your jump range, try using this site and enter where you are and destination - plus your jump range and see if their is a route to beagle based on your jump range without using FSD boost

According to this... it can be done in a ship from Sol to Beagle Point in a ship with a 33ly jump range. I just test plotted a route
Galmap won't plot me a route to Beagle, is that because I'm still 6000ly away or because there isn't one
Even with a much higher jump range, it may be difficult to plot a route directly. You may need to do smaller routes, or go around the more sparse areas in the middle of the Abyss.
Might also be that the star class filters are set too strict.
The plotter has problems with deviations, especially anything more that about 35 degrees. You'll find that the Abyss wants a lot of turns to get through, so a lot of the plotting has to be done by hand.Good evening Cmdrs

What system are you currently in while I test something with that Star Map site I linked back to above. Because I noticed something later when I said that site could plot a route from the bubble to beagle point. There are two sections in the route that seemed to fail highlighted in red at 41 and 58. Each of the numbered routes is usual done in 900+ ly sections, about 30 jumps per section. But at those two points highlighted in red (pink) it shows 1,873.52 ly and 2,799.82 ly

I know you've just been to Sag A* and are heading from their to Beagle Point and said you have a 33ly jump range without using FSD Boost. I just tried to enter a Route from SAG A* to Beagle Point with that 33ly jump limit and it throws up 3 red sections as though it's not possible to do it (dunno). I never got any of those red numbered sections like that when I used that site to plot a route from the Bubble to Colonia. But it throws up those 3 red sections still... even if you try and re-plot a route with a 60ly jump range instead? So dunno???

also, on the direct line from SgrA* to BP there is the permit locked Praei region:
if you dont want to fight your way manually around this region, you may try the Route 33 or the Roncevaux Crossing
With all the, "how the heck did you know", permit locks, I keep waiting for the Pilot's Federation to take off the Edgar suit...

Yah to Rooster.... how are you doing? Haven't heard or seen for some time.... trouble come your way? Or you are at Beagle and have drunk yourself silly in anticipation of the return trip? I am in the Abyss and have my course plotted all the way to Beagle....239 jumps, give or take a few.

I've not been able to do much this weekend so I've been plotting my route. I'm about 150 jumps away without any injections. I've got 6 premium injections available so I need to work them into a route.
What is your jump range ?

You are around 6000 ly to my port side. keep those injections for your way out.... you may need them to get out of the abyss.
