Just as a quick update, I did slip in a second round of approvals this week and will be conducting another on Monday. So if you haven't checked recently you may have a verdict now.

Did this happen yesterday?

(I'm imagining a scenario where the fact that I had my commander name approved and then later submitted my NPC name might have flagged my account as "done" after the approval, but not reset it to needing more approval when I submitted the NPC name - though it probably doesn't work like that.)

If I'm this enthusiastic about some cogs turning into a thumbs-up, what am I going to be like by the time I actually get to play the game?

I may be wrong, but I think the first and second names are separated and used randomly.

No. Michael said they were still thinking about it.

But they have promised that your NPC name will appear. In a sense, who cares if it appeared through gluing together a first name and a second name, or from just the whole name? In any case, there will be NPC names that cannot fit the first/last thing, so those, at the very least will have to stay as a single name. But if FD have to generate a gazillion names, doing so by cross multiplying a pile of first and last names together is much easier than them having to have a single list with a gazillion names in it.

I was hoping they split my npc first and second names up. It's not a problem if they don't, but I have designed it that way.
