First Thargoid IN THE BUBBLE Destroyed - Oct 1 23:45 - HIP 17962 - Elite Aid Stream

At the end of the Elite Aid stream this weekend, we checked out the intel about the attacked container ship (Aquarius Class Tanker ALF-895) in HIP 17962, and were surprised by the Thargoid popping into instance. We scrambled some reinforcements and defended the container ship from the Thargoid scout.

We believe that this is the first kill of a Thargoid in the bubble - kill took place on October 1 at 23:45 Game Time.

Shortly after this kill, Commanders have been reporting Threat Level 7 drop points being sighted in the Pleiades - fully engineered FAS, Gunships, Corvettes, Cutters are being insta-vaped. The infamous Harry Potter dropped in on one and was vaped in seconds. Some of our guys went out to investigate and were also destroyed or routed.

And now what? Dose it change something? A lot of thargoids got killed. Nothing special.

I thought this might be a mistake, or under-reported or something. Saw a video of one, no thargoid at it though. Now I want to chase one down...

I guess so far people have only been killing Threat 5 thargies, and the Threat 7 are that "harder challenge" people were after?

I'm not seeing any corroborating evidence of this last part, aside from the existance of threat 7 sources since day 1 of 2.4.

It's not my vid, but yes. It's why I take the OP with a heavy grain of salt. There's no corroborating evidence of commanders being destroyed in seconds on entering threat 7 signal sources.

Yesterday, CMDR John Snow and me went there to check things. When we dropped near the tanker, there was already Rescue Team running away. What happened next was little chaotic. My sensors were insta-destroyed. Seen lots of fire, cannot tell who fired the first shot. That Thargoid was very angry. Damaged from the Rescue Team? We retreated heavily damaged.

Ive had 2 UPs in my hold, and today no sign of tanker.

Would it be safe to say that CMDR John Snow knows nothing about engaging Thargoids?

He was in AspX and my impression was that he is more expirienced pilot than me.
Shortly before that, we met another Thargoid at barnacle forest, feeding from the barnacle.

What is the deal with disappearing tanker, time-based bug?
