Fix combat plz

Hello I fly my ships mostly as an independent bounty hunter since all the new updates I can’t make thru one combat mission and collect my mission rewards without blue screen ether just before I get the kill or just after. If I load my mission board will all available kill orders I lose most of them before I can finish because of all the bugs and game crashes. I love this game please fix it..

.if I might add I’m on PS4 console not PC.

Seems like your disc* drive is dying.
One day I decided to migrate from HDD to SSD. Reinstalled whole OS, games, etc. for first few days all was ok. Then problems started, weird OS freezes, BSODs, constant rebooting. Unscrewed SSD, called warranty and while waiting for the reply got new, different SSD. 2 weeks later, when all was set up on new disc I got warranty reply - previous SSD was faulty...

* - or GFX, or RAM, or motherboard...

I'd be in the same mind as the others, hardware issue or something 'unwelcome' in your Windows installation.
I spend most of my time on my 2nd account BH missions and Haz Res BH'ing and have not had a CTD/Blue Screen error, so unlikely to be an issue with the game.

Wanted to point out that it could also be the GPU, RAM or Motherboard until I saw the *.

PS
Paging @Old Duck to suggest extensive router cleaning.

Didn't have a bluescreen since Windows 10, so I am not sure how it's handled today... But shouldn't there be an error code somewhere? If it's not displayed you could check the event logs. Sometimes it helps to narrow the problem down.

B1rdy is right Dude.

Try cleaning out the dust from your PC. It can wreak havoc on the cooling.
It might be simply overheating. Elite is notorious for CPU usage spikes.
Make sure your CPU+GPU+PSU fans are spinning, etc.

Install CoreTemp and monitor it in the taskbar with the game in Windowed mode.

Run CoreTemp, then on:

Win 10- right click on Taskbar>Settings>Select which Icons appear on the Taskbar and turn
on CoreTemp.

Win7- right click on Taskbar>Properties>Customize>Show Icon and Notifications for CoreTemp

Any core over 80 degrees is bad.

Just some thoughts..
X.

PS. I had a similar problem. PSU fan was barely spinning causing the whole inside to overheat.

Edit: Spelling. (thx ObiW)

Some of you would no doubt cry at the state of my PC.
Second hand parts, severely mismatched RAM (in all the wrong slots!), overheating issues across the board(s- pun intended).
Yet ED runs fine, with just the very occasional CTD, which is usually down to something just getting too hot.

Chances are, your problems are hardware related. Check your temperatures, first and foremost.

I guess it's something on your side that need to be fixed mate. Never heard of this before, and ED players are not shy when it comes to speak about bugs.

Take a look and the .dmp file that gets created, with the windows debugger, it will tell you a lot about why the blue-screen happened. If you need help with it PM me

Sorry to contradict here, as a general statement it is incorrect. Half-way CPUs have a temp limit of about 95-100°C. Above that, they start throttling and ultimately shutdown to prevent damage from overheating.
GPUs have have a temp range auf about 85-95°C before the core starts throttling and a shutdown temperature of more than 100°C.
VRMs on mainboards (and GPU Boards) have a limit of 125°C, above that throttling of the processor will start.
So the only component, that is temperature sensitive, without any means of throttling and prone to produce bluescreens, is (system) memory and (maybe) hard drives or power supplies without over temperature protection.
