I think the best thing to do is to just play something else until 3.0.99 drops. This C&P was supposed to be a fairer & easy to understand improvement to the old 2.4 system. What a joke. There's something very wrong with the design direction at FDEV, I cant imagine that a bunch of developers all thought the mess the new C&P system has become was a great idea. I'm getting the feeling there's an ego within FDEV that needs a slap-down.

I got the same problems like the OP and its pretty much keeping me from shooting any skimmers so far. Really expanded the game experience for me with all the "immersion" and "emergent gameplay"

And stop these idiotic real life comparison arguments. This is a game and not reality. A game is supposed to be fun!
And this game is trying a little bit to hard to punish us with its consequences and risk reward nonsense lately. Some folks might like that but many are quite of.
