I gave up on this game months ago, but decided to check in and see if frontier has decided to make a game and not just a pretty sandbox.
Yes, this is a valid complaint. Yes, this has been a noted complaint since beta. Yes, frontier isn't going to fix this.
Either this 'game' is a simulation OR a recreation of real life. You can't have both. So far, MOST things in this game are a simulation, so having your guests spend 1 week to exit a ride is not 'realistic' in the overall idea of the simulation.
Making the excuse that 'in real life' blah blah blah doesn't work. THIS IS NOT A REPLICA OF REAL LIFE. It's a simulation. Unless hundreds of people live 3-5 years in a theme park and never go home, there is no justification of 'real life' for the stupidity of the simulation.
The first RollerCoaster Tycoon game had this solved, even with entrances and exits on the same side. It's a stupid design FLAW that this still exists in a game made a decade later, and even after much feedback has been ignored.
I gave up on this 'game' being anything more than a glorified 'paint a park' software, and even looking at things 6 months later it seems that frontier doesn't care about simulation, just making pretty pictures (and ugh... the forum 'regulars' would scare off anyone who isn't in the cult of frontier). Glad you're happy with mediocrity, but don't get angry at people who want more than a half-implemented effort.
