Fix this game that you sold me Frontier!!!!!!!!!!

FD support staff are extremely good.

You will do far better working with Support than dropping informationless grumpyposts in the "Discussion" forum for us to read.
I would have agreed with you months ago, Cap. But this is beyond ridiculous. FD is ignoring this problem that when DCs happen is game breaking and failed to communicate with sever error message is VERY problematic. It needs to be taken to another level as to get FD to do something NOW, I have said this before with every content release it will only get worse.

Been having server side issues since the begining of summer...both in open and solo. Got so frustrating, I stopped actually trying to play entirely while I have fun playing other stuff until they sort it out. Much as I love this game, that constant lag and timing out became intolerable and one gets bored hearing about how it's a problem on my end...I guess that's why absolutely everything else I play runs buttery smooth.

Not complaining cos doom on ultra setting is proving to be highly entertaining, so it's not like I'm bored...but I do miss the good old days here when this was playable, and currently, it isn't. Just hanging around the forums now n then to stay informed...and actually complaining just ends up with half a dozen fanbois screaming blasphemy at ye fer daring to not admit full responsibility yerself ^^

Ok so the mission board performance is poor, but I very rarely had it fail on me - and most of the time FD was quick to fix the problem.

So could it be that maybe, just maybe, the problem is on your end, OP?

This started when 2.1 was released, and it happens in the beta also.
the Answer is the same each time, yes we know this happens, please provide us your logs so we can look into it, problem is the logs show the same thing 95% of the time, and they still have not fixed the issue, or communicated anything to the player base, it's at the point now that during peak time frames in Europe the game is unplayable for many people but apparently FD cannot or will not do anything. it's not only the mission board, but try to wing up and stay in the wing, or open the Galaxy map, Dropping form SC. the list goes on an on.

(I am French, I use a translator, I hope the translation is good)

"failed to communicate with sever" this happens to me only during peak hours.. that is to say after 18h..

since I play in this game it is very rare to 15h or 8am.

I therefore conclude is not specific to elite dangerous.. this is certainly not the first multiplayer game to turn around this kind of error..

frontier should invest in sturdier servers .. that turns Kerosene or plutonium lol.. it may simply be increasingly has to play this game.

Perhaps the problem is on your side !!

Perhaps this is your internet service provider or your mother in law watching her favorite show in the next room.

broken game mechanics are working precisely as intended... perfect, perfect in every way ...

Rep for the Avatar.
Priest rules.

Perhaps providing a geographical location may help.
I'm in Scotland and have none of these issues except slow mission board loading (it's never failed so far).

Support ticket can give the right FD staff a traceroute, the actual netlog with all the client network specific info (MTU, upnp vs port forwarding, etc.), without any sensitive IP info being posted up here in public for everyone to see.

It also opens a direct technical conversation between support team and customer that can allow FD to give specific suggestions as to what to try/change, or what could be going on at or beyond the ISP.

None of which will happen as well here in "Dangerous Discussion".

Its been happening for some since 2.0, its been happening for me since 2.1, its been getting worse with every content update. It needs to be fixed now. Enough is enough. FD has enough tikka to ride every ride in Disneyworld and Disneyland 100x over.

Well, since ppl around the world are posting the same problems here I think it´s a simple server issue. Maybe they sold to many copies and they forgot to raise the capacity from the AWS services :)

At least they are aware of it now. We should provide them as many information as we could.

Yes, the connection issues are slowly getting worse for me too

I've tried putting my pc in the DMZ, forcing unpn off and specifying a port number too, no luck

Severely effects wing gameplay :(
