Oh,I see. I was under the impression you could see the stats from the tech broker screen, such that you can make an informed decision on what you want to unlock. Silly me.

Based on all this, I assume then that no one has any idea what this weapon actually fires out of itself, or how effective that is?
I unlocked and bought some Gauss Cannons, but I wasn't terribly impressed with them. Considering this thing takes even more grinding, I would prefer not to waste my time if the thing proves to be a TURD.![]()

The GGaus can't be that bad, when you consider their effectiveness in fighting thargoids, including the first few medusa-solo vids are out, featuring quardo-gauss fits for the taskBased on all this, I assume then that no one has any idea what this weapon actually fires out of itself, or how effective that is?

haha, bad jokeRam Tah is still inventing it, maybe he doesn't know the stats yet?![]()
The dawn of turreted turrets... cuz redundancies are awesome!no, the turret version is just wrong
the model of this flak is like 99% a copy of the AX flak, just with a different muzzlebreak.
but the AX FLAK uses the same model for fixed and turreted, and has zero other differences except a quite hefty price tag.
and the flechette gets lifted on an additional platform (ugly looking that is) and my first test in mutlicrew revealed... its not even working as a turret.
lets hope that is just a bug because my friends input settings.
Does it still hit modules though the shield, then?oh, and what i forgot to mention...
wow, this weapon is dangerous for your own ship
my gunner fired the first test round - > and of course he forgot that he had to hold down the fire button longer. -> all front internal/externals down to 82%
sure, that in the description of the weapon.Does it still hit modules though the shield, then?
As for the ammo, it's good to see they increased it. But.... 73 shots? Really FDev? This reeks of the condor's maneuvering thrusters all over again. Too weak by a literal order of magnitude (convinced someone just misplaced a decimal point). FDev buffs it by a whopping 100%, a huge change... but still nowhere near enough. This is basically a flak launcher. You know, those things that were spammed in the general vicinity of a thing to try and score some splash damage or a lucky hit. It does not need heavily restricted ammo. Even at 73 shots, more than double what it had initially, it still is the lowest ammo non-missile weapon in the game iirc.
I'm not so sure that's the intended use case considering flechette launchers will shred your opponent's thrusters right through their shields with a handful of well-timed shots.
