Fleet Carrier bartender - remove buy price cap (or increase at least 10000x)

Buy a FC for 5billions
Buy a bar for 200mil
Pay 1.5m weekly

Use it to sell items at 50k credits.

On a side note, I really don't like the idea to give a small proportion of player the ability to directly purchase engineering mat through money, while leaving everyone else to grind it. Because yes, it's likely to become that once FC owners realize grinding engineering mat to sell is much less efficient than doing pretty much anything else.
Do you think the credits of those buyers where bought?? They also grinded the credits in mining, trucking, Goiding and more! Its called economy! Its a circle of life! Some people just loves to make the game more uninteresting!

What are you getting at exactly? Yes the carrier owner got the money somehow so he can now offer it for the mats, you might say they earned it, but the problem is nobody is going to sell them anything cause nobody will bother farming the mats for sale given the garbage money they can get for them.

In a month when the most charity-crazed will have had enough, you will see dozens of carriers with demand for mats and nobody actually procuring them cause it's not worth it. The only transactions that will ever happen will be purely accidental, i.e. you happened to have this junk in your backpack as you approached the bartender so you might as well sell it.

You claim we want to make the game uninteresting - what's wrong with there being another viable way of making money? You have pax, trade, mining (laz & core), combat missions, hazrez, even goids.... why not add on-foot material farming to that? Wouldn't it be more interesting if you could earn a living like that?

It's pretty much a fact that engineering mat is harder to get than credit.

I put up a couple of lots of 500+ mats on my FC (not difficult to get stuff, just Ionised Gas, Compressed Gas, Financial Projections, Opionion Polls, Cat Media etc). Gone within an hour of hitting Inara.

Lots of people who have $$$ and no idea how to play is the issue - raising the price of mats would make no difference.

Or maybe there is problem also with some of mats which need to be acquired in bigger numbers (many times more as some other) and it significantly increases time for upgrading gear ... I have fully upgraded my main char and slowly finishing my alt, so I can after 10 months clearly see how purposely are some of requierements set. I think that it could be done better, with bigger amounts of some mats is needed mostly "grindy" gameplay where cmdrs loot same place again and again (bcs it is faster, or in case of SDPs just only one way how to get them during player real lifetime). Personally I think there are more things which would serve Odyssey much better if at least little tweaked, but there was so far not even attempt to gather players feedback (not counting that seemingly ignored horizons engineering thread).

p.s.: I was lucky find in colonia one FC which had some mats for sell ... I bought most of them, it helps me shorten little the longest 4-5lvl gear upgrading phase.

thats the point of it! Its already gone with in an hour because its already cheap! If thats what you want then just remove the Selling option to other fleet carrier because its useless anyway.

Its like ordering a food in the restaurant to deliver it at home and you wanted your customer to pick up in the restaurant! LMAO ... why bothering to have an option ordering online if doesnt offer!

Thats my point, then sell it at higher price .... Its like me ordering you to Grab 10 opinion polls for me and then deliver it in a 200ly distance and then I pay you 500,000 credits ....... Are you willing to do that for me??

Bruh your reference is like this:

Fulltime Teacher wanted to buy and eat some fish for dinner

Fisherman told the teacher to go fishing instead to eat some fish!

LMAO!

Elite Dangerous was advertised like this!

You want to be a space trucker? Space bounty hunter? Space miner?

Then this game is for you!

And how much money did you make? Did you do it for s and giggles or as a money-making activity? Cause we were promised an economy and there's no economy if nobody considers it profitable to engage in the activity.

Raising the prices will allow people who enjoy on-foot gameplay to actually do it for money, while currently they are forced to mine/trade/etc. to get credits in any meaningful amount.
Of course it will help in that regard.

How hard can it be to convey your thoughts in a structured and logical manner? Practice a bit bro. You're making little sense.

If you're trying to say that "no we don't want people to buy engineering mats, we want them to do the farming, that's the point of the game" then I would agree with you for most of my ED carrier... UNTIL FDEV PROMISED AN ECONOMY FOR ON FOOT MATS.

FDev literally said they are inplementing an economy, that means trading opportunity, for on-foot mats. They literally said the opposite of what you're trying (and failing) to say.
But they messed up and we're trying to fix it. That's all.

Just remove the Bartender trader its useless multiplayer feature, its only for players that are helping their friend with some stuffs .....Its a no no economy, its more like a single player campaign where you should do everything even you dont like to do it.

All I want is a random player to sell me something in my Carrier same as the Tritium. Other on mats are easy to find but others are just rare and annoying like the (opinion polls) People like me are not full time gamers where I spend my butt all week playing the game.

I have a full time job in real life! And I just want to sit and relax and enjoy the game on my free time! And Im not a fan of farming gameplay, doing the same thing all over again for 8 hours.

You making zero sense. If you are what you claim to be, which is exactly what I am, plus I have two little kids so I only ever have proper "time off" when I trade sleep for it, then you should be IN FAVOR of my idea, because then you will be able to
  1. put up an offer to buy Opinion Polls on your carrier for a price high enough that some other bloke with more time on his hands will be willing to farm it for you
  2. find carriers selling Opinion Polls because their owners will be able to make a decent profit from farming and selling these materials on their carriers
.... and you'll be able to get the money for these Opinion Polls using whatever other method of making money you enjoy. Win-win. What's your problem?

Clueless. Really clueless.

Not that it makes a difference but there wont be a real economy selling this stuff anyway.
At the moment we only have a thread on the forums read by a small % of the player base and a few data sites that again only a small % sign up to.
I really don't think that stock/price changes will make that much difference unless there's a way to advertise wares in a huge galaxy.

oh and if anyone mentions an auction house type of system im sending TH round for your stuphs

O7

What's the point in an economy when I can make 100s of millions in credits in a lazy couple of hours?

The only things worth selling are difficult to find materials and the only thing worth trading them with are the same difficult to find materials.

Inara already has a search engine for that, albeit in beta.

Not necessarily.
Yes, you can make I guess up to ~200mil/h using some methods. I'm making a measly 120-140m/h core mining, for example, cause I enjoy this method.
Now, I enjoy some aspects of on-foot gameplay too. I do core mining for money now, but if I had the option to farm on-foot mats for comparable amount of money, I might just do that. And there might be more of such folks who would be willing to do that instead of pax, trade, mining etc.
That is the point.

My point exactly re Inara, only a small percentage of the player base actually sign up to this.
Many like me dont.

And why is that?
I mean, why do you think only a small percentage of the player base use it and why do YOU not use it?

I'm not using it regularly only because whenever I go to any of the carriers that sell sth, they're either gone from the system or bought out. If selling mats was more profitable, more people would put their offers up.

I also don't know why my carrier doesn't show up on the list :/
