Newcomer / Intro [Fleet Carrier] - Do the number of hosted ships impact your FC jumps ?

Hi CMDRs,

Yet another question I am not totally sure about the answer.
At the beginning of my Fleet Carrier I experience, I understood that the weight of services and storage on an FC impacted both the jump distance and he Tritium consumption.
So, I just transfered 3 ships on my FC, with different dedicated roles (Explorer/Miner/Hauler).
Now, I am not sure at all that the number of ships onboarded on your FC influence your jump capacity, nor the jumps Tritium consumption due to their additional weight.
Is that right ?

Ships and ship modules do not affect the weight of the carrier, other commanders ships are also carried weight free,

The only things that affect the weight of the carrier are,
Carrier modules
Cargo
Ship and Module packs that you can buy to sell if you have shipyard and/or outfitting installed

It is only the weight of the carrier as shown on the top right of the carrier screen that affect Tritium usage.

As ever, Thanks @K_Olley !
I really start having remorse not having bringed with me some other ships I own...
Restricting myself to the minimum, was in fact not a good idea.

Yep. In example on some difficult grounds I would have liked to have my first (small footprint) explo-biologist ship on-board...
Having to land far away, then having a ride with SRV is obviously fine and enjoyable, but even then, far may mean "very" far for some sharply mountained bodies...
Also, storing modules for swap/exchange is something I did not thought about at the very begining.
It's only 3 months I own my FC, and I am still learning from my first "serious" trip.
Will not forget all that as I will return to the bubble.;; in the next three months I guess ;-)

You can call your ships and modules to your Fleet Carrier using the usual transfer techniques though depending how far away you are the time and cost might be an issue.

@aRJay : Yes for sure... issue is that I am currently 4.5 KLY from my most reachable ship.
I should have done that as closer from them.
I plan that as soon I will be back in their (relative) vincinity.
Well... "as soon" is somewhat relative... let's say in some months...
