Best response everIt's not a blockade, it's a "special parking operation".

You are aware that a free and full transfer to PC will:FDEV will only transfer to PC if they can empty your pockets. It's pretty obvious what's going on; full-on, double-barreled, dics-up cash grab. Gonna mini-max the payout, like a gamer does.
You are aware that a free and full transfer to PC will:
So you can be very sure FDEV want everyone to move from console to PC.
- reduce the overhead for game servers, saving FDEV money
- immediately increase sale of Odyssey significantly, it is after all what all this fuss is about from the beginning.
- make at least a few people happy and lead to selling ARX, especially to the influx of Odyssey players.
If there are few enough console players, they might even be able to completely shut down that maintenance cost.
Right now they have an obligation to a significant portion of the total player base to keep those running, but only so far that it is economically viable.
Despite popular belief, companies are not welfare organisations that exists to give you stuff for free. And if you bought the game six year ago, you got more game play for your money than most games you ever bought.
Possibly the OP's 'protest' has not had the support from other players they imagined there might be? Possibly the others in the 'console community' do not wish to join in a scheme to deny other players the opportunity to enjoy their game?
Possibly the 'magic hand of Frontier' will remove them without fanfare, once they have been 'parked' too long?Well, Rackham's Peak seems to be under siege and completely clogged by now - and there dont seem to be any public holiday.
Guess i could start submitting some support tickets on this matter and have FDev decide what they're going t do about this silly "protest" which is more spite actually than being a protest
How many are there normally? (I've never been, and have no need to go)Inara is listing 128 carriers in Rackham's Peak system and 24 in the previous one.
Firstly a bit of disclosure:Let's see. You bought Elite Dangerous on console knowing that Horizons was a paid bonus, then learned the Odyssey was another paid bonus, but not yet available for consoles. You also knew that the game wasn't cross platform compatible, but that was okay.
Later, you learned that Odyssey might be available for consoles in the future, but it would be delayed. You weren't charged a cent for the update, nor the possibility, but you wanted to when/if it came out.
Now, you have been told that Frontier has tried, but decided that, for whatever reason, they can't do it, and you are not only angry, but you've decided to take out your frustrations for something you were never charged for, were never promised, on other players who did pay for the update. Plus, you have taken advantage of the one thing that would be hurting cross platform, in order to hurt the largest number of players, by 'protesting' something you were never entitled to, in the name of ...what? Fairness?

Sorry, perhaps I phrased the question poorly.128 is total max (with a sub limit of maximum 16 carriers per body).
The previous system - not sure. Currently it has 24 carriers
It has no planets, so it should hold maximum 16 carriers, but i read that in Odyssey this limit was increased to 31 (again not sure about the max number of carriers or if the limit was increased manually for this system specifically or it was a general increase)
Sorry, perhaps I phrased the question poorly.
What is the 'normal' population of FCs at Rackham's Peak? Is it often 'nearly full' or only during Public Holidays?
Is any of that popcorn left ?
But my carrier is full of corn kernels waiting to be popped …. I’m now going to look amongst the scrap metal I’ve collected to make a pan that I can hang over the edge of my carrier and use the engines to make some corn…No, and they only sell them at Rackham's. Yes, the situation is that dire.

Hmm, maybe we should blockade the blockaders and stop them all leaving by parking Fleet Carriers in the previous system so they are stuck there permanently unless they decommission?
The Peak is normally "full" towards the end of each calendar month, not because of our funny protestor
CorrectSo people just park their carriers full of booze there waiting for Public Holiday to happen?
Asking because i did checked Rackham's Peak like a week ago and it had 4 carriers
