fleet carrier jumps

  • The entire crew gets released into the cold void of space. If you get a new carrier you must assign a new crew.
Bob Iger, I mean Odyssey already took care of that... I have a nice, diverse, unrecognizable crew on my carrier now. Heck, I don't even recognize the fellow in the mirror! I guess I gotta revisit the carrier facility when I get it back, along with the holome room.

And I still have some fuel left, so I'm sure I can get it closer, maybe halfway? I haven't done the calculations.
Ploea Theia NO-A b14-0 is really close to the bubble. Its only about 8 jumps, 4,000Ly. If you can get it half way its only 4 jumps away.

I thought you meant it was far away, like on the other side of Sag A. :ROFLMAO:

Because they were never designed as a Personal Carrier, thought that was already made clear. The carrier was designed to remain persistent because if it was going to be squadron based it had to basically exist when different squad members logged on and off, so it couldn't be tied to a single account, that's why making it a personal carrier was indeed probably a bad idea, but you know, player demands and all, that's what everyone wanted. And yes it doesn't take long to come up with a better personal carrier because the FC we have at the moment isn't designed as a personal carrier, and that's been discussed endlessly for years, in fact ever since the carrier was released on the unsuspecting player base, you are a bit late to that discussion for sure and you are just bringing up all the same arguments we have been having for years, but that doesn't make any difference because you aren't one designing, programming and implementing it, FDEV are, and that opportunity is so far gone it's not worth considering, they aren't going to design, program and implement a different carrier, we have what we have and that's probably all we will ever get carrier wise.
I said the same right after they were released...
But you're right in both that it's the same discussion, and that Fdev won't change anything. And still you're here; having the same discussions that bring nothing new to the table and will change nothing...
I say what I say here, not because I think anything will change with Elite: Dangerous. I do it out of a tiny hope that when they release the next Elite, which I also hope they do, at least someone at Fdev will think just half a step longer when chosing mechanics. Well, mostly, sometimes it's just to point out that someone had an idea so half baked it might give you salmonella.
