Fleet Carriers Outfitting Options - Time for an overhaul

I decided to start using my Fleet Carrier for Outfitting and the whole system is rubbish. Not only is the system completely opaque to in game viewing there is NO assistance on how to use.

What I found after the event and after dishing out 1 Billion in credits is that the groups Analytical, Mining tools have some of the same items in them, so I now have 85 Pulse Scanners! and 20 Detailed Surface Scanners. On top of this I found that choosing Group III in a selection does not give all lower items below but only those items shown! This is ludicrous.

Also I have found that you can only have 1 group from a selection WTH! The only way you can make some sense of the selection choices is to upload to INARA. Wish you luck counting the items in your stock list from there!

Isn’t it time for an overhaul of this implementation? The Ship selection is even worse, but not as complicated. There is a downloadable spreadsheet from a player that helps, but that isn’t the point. Surely we should be able to choose as per groups in our outfitting choices on-board, and then we can choose to spend more for the higher grades within our FC's space requirements.
 
The carrier shipyard and outfitting are hopeless, useful only for allowing others to store ships and modules on your carrier (And obviously refit from same). Until and unless we’re allowed to choose our stock and sell at a profit there’s no point in carrying stock.

We should be able to buy specific modules, engineer them and then put them up for sale. The whole package idea was an embarrassing mistake.
 
Was recently looking into adding outfitting to my own carrier. And yeah damn, this system really needs a rethink in my opinion. Just the fact that you can only have 1 tier in a category alone sounds super frustrating.
