Hi Commanders!
I was thinking about my ships that are useless in some stations while I fly out what ever suits me atm.
What if you could hire NPCs that do missions with your ships while you are out doing something else? I think that would be a nice feature and could add another aspect to the game. First there would have to be some restricrion tied to, lets call it, fleet cmdr rank. On first stage you are allowed to only send out one sidy and as you proceed you are able to enlarge your fleet up to x ships of size y.
You have to choose the missions yourself, or give them a mining destination, or trade root. I like the idea, that with progress in rank you could build a mining company, trading company or bounty hunting agency. NPCs take a part of your rewards as payment and the more dangerous the missions the better quality of NPC captian you have to aquire or risk to loose a ship and pay insurance. Some NPCs denie illegal activities, some don't but cost more. Of course fleet size must be limited and this should not be a auto grind feature, but it would be a nice addition.
Just some thoughts. What do you think?
