hi guys im really enjoying flying with flight assist off but it i cant find an option to make FAoff the default setting? it seems to reset every time i dock or come out of supercruise. its perhaps only a minor annoyance but having to turn it off everytime breaks my immersion a little.

Yep, unfortunately we have the option to choose the default assist position in SRV, but not in the ship.
As an F/A off pilot myself, I find it highly frustrating and have been calling for change since the beginning. Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but we're going to have to endure it.

It will eventually get fixed, just got missed in the last hotfix. Guess the devs have a lot to get through.
@Op, flight assist state remains the same when you dock, It only changes when you drop out of SC/hyperspace, known bug that crept into 3.0. Hopefully when the devs fix it, they'll go a bit further and add a toggle in the menu, FA used to switch itself back on if you restarted the game or changed sessions.

Agreed. That seems like an easily correctable oversight in my, admittedly not so humble, opinion.
And, to any Devs who may read this, please accept my apologies for coming across as an entitled gamer. I know you guys work hard and I, for one, love this game. Sincerely.
If you guys could make this one little thing happen it would be a nice refinement to a game I intend to continue playing and investing in. So... yeah. Love you guys.

This forum is weird and doesn't lock old threads so one should pay close attention to dates.
...that being said, yes, this hasn't been "fixed" (it's not really broken it's just a painful omission) yet and probably never will be. Dunno why they can't give us a proper switch like in the SRV.
