Looking for a way up the cliff will take you hours, that piece of terrain is tens of kilometre longFarseer is having problems at the moment. I abandoned my Mac for my pc and upped the cash to buy he engineers, first landing ever went smoothly on a random moon, starting to get impressed I thought I'd check out an engineer and headed for Felicity's base. It looked cool on approach but imagine my surprise when I was directed to land at pad 4 I could see the lights but no pad existed. After nearly ten minutes of trying to dock in thin air I gave up. I tried another pad and got in this time.
next instant mistake was deploying the srv I was deposited randomly in thin air 2km away, I watched as I fell slowly hundreds of meters to the ground below then having survived I drove around for a bit. Went to board the srv and found permission to be denied. I was really confused.
half an hour went by before I realised that I could summon the ship which landed a km away, despite the fact that I had previously docked it in a hanger and shouldn't have been able to do this.
I can only assume that the base kicked me because I made the RNG gods angry by not bothering with them. I don't want random effects I only visited the base because its hand crafted and supposed to be a work of art. It was on the night side of the planet to boot so I didnt see much anyway.
i gave up and abandoned the asp on the bedrock just outside the base and logged out.
My guess is a very low G planet and clipping a rock with his strut, sending him straight up at a V > EV of the planet. No explanation into how this happened?
Don't shatter the illusion: I thought it was because you *believed* you could fly!
I did believe, and I did indeed fly!
