For those of you with more than one ship of the same type...

I'm curious to know if people who use alternate loadouts keep all their ships in one place or just spread them around and shuttle themselves with a throwaway Sidewinder.

i have all my ships parked at the same location, which i call my homebase, and where i do different stuff (flipping systems, trading, smuggling...) beside my exploration asp, which is parked on the closest edge of inhabited space from that homebase.

between explorer and homebase i either travel with my day-to-day asp or with my db scout. if i want to play somewhere else than my homegrounds, i go there with my day-to-day asp, and buy the ships i need, selling them later again. i prefer flying small ships, so the loss of buying, outfitting and selling an smuggling adder, a fighting eagle or courier, or a trading t6 is not that much, and i prefer this over moving all of my ships.

Homebase houses all but my python which is parked at my trading starting point.
I use a DB-X to get back and forth.
When I buy a new ship, I'll use a throwaway sidey, or hauler to access the purchase station if ship's not available @ homebase.
