Force feedback for Xbox Controller

So i recently discovered that on the console version of Elite, there was a Force Feedback on xbox controller for various actions (vrs driving etc) and i was thinking (i play on PC), why don't I have force feedback with my controller (a razer wolverine v2 chroma) even though the game has the capability ? Why didn't you add this option for PC as an option (because not everyone likes it) when it is present on the console version of the game ? It would be an addition that I think would add enormously to the immersion !

I think you’re referring to controller rumble/vibration - in which case it doesn’t work with the PC version of Elite :/

IIrc car racing simulations often are capable of force feedback effects for the steering wheels. 🤷‍♂️
Playing the newer Forza Horizon (Can't remember which number, and presumably on some other games too) using an Xbone controller on PC even allows for the force feedback triggers to be used as well as generic rumble, without any work on the player's side. There's a lot of cool stuff that a lot of games could be doing, but don't, usually due to the 'lowest common denominator' approach to this stuff. Which is frustrating, but hard to argue with when it comes to fragmented platforms like PC.
