With the known bug in Horizons and 1.5, which causes your route to be lost if you are holding cargo, Fortifications are difficult. Those undermining Shatrites don't have the issue that those of us who need 12 jumps to get there have with the bug forgetting our routes.

Sometimes in 1 jump you are vulnerable while in Galaxy Map to re-plot course. Happened to me with am FAS, and almost lost my clipper to a Vulture.

I think plotting the route to the station you want to go from within the system map is working fine.
