Found a Base in the California Nebula

I arrived at the California Nebula, some 1000Ly from Sol, only to be vary surprised to find a populated system with a planet base with large pad. There’s even another rl player here.

Yup - Alliance affiliated right? Its the systems given to the Alliance for helping to save the Thargoids from extinction.

Many nebula, even ones way out there, have at least one base. It makes it quite handy for explorers who want to make a "pit stop" and turn in their cartographic data.

Yup, I call them tourist trap stations which is what they essential are

Nah - the one i bumped into out there didn't have the option of buying or selling anything - completely devoid of anything except a base you could land at on a planetary surface - I think i could buy fuel, but no mission board, no commodities board, no contacts, no black market, no shipyard, no outfitting, no cartographics, no universal factors, no nothing. They did have toilets and a *broken* coffee machine. It was like flying into LAX on an international transfer flight...

Have they fixed that nebula? Last time I was there, it looked like Minecraft.

The Alliance have put a number of bases into the California nebula for… reasons. There was a community goal and everything.

Oh, I haven't been out there yet but it's one of my first destinations once I get my explorer built. I saw a thread awhile ago that showed all the stations outside the Bubble and just happened to remember about Station X in the Crab Sector.
