Found a crashed ship, handplaced or procedural?

As the title says,

I found a crashed DBX on a planet while collecting mats. Are these things procedurally placed or did I just get really lucky?

It's surrounded by skimmers, (guardians).

As arithon said, its just random stuff...theres actually loads of them around and sometimes bigger crashed ships but they dont serve any real purpose. Maybe have some loot lying around them but thats it. Drive a km or two away and they vanish not there when ye go back...a past placeholder that has been all but forgotten now ^
