Hi all.

Those who have seen my posts and profile will no doubt have noticed my spinning Cobra Mk III avatar from the original 1984 Elite.

For those who wish to have a similarly classic avatar for themselves, I've compiled as many of the original wireframe images as I could find. To download, feel free to visit this site which I've just put up.

I was going to ask if he could make a grumpy old stick man rotate for me but these are really nice, they even have disappearing lines in places which give the feel of an old 8 bit screen. Don't know if this is intentional or not but it really works well.

Thank you everyone for the reps and kind words; I truly appreciate it.

This is by no means the complete set of original ships, however, I do hope to add the rest as soon as I am able to capture them.

The remaining ships are:
  • Cargo Cannister
  • Escape Capsule
  • Krait
  • Missile
  • Mamba
  • Shuttle
  • Sidewinder
  • Thargoid (and maybe Tharglet)
  • Transporter
  • Viper
I don't have a lot of time at the moment as I am concentrating on other things and still trying to get some gameplay, however, as I said, I will try to add the above ships as soon as I am able to do so.

Awesome work.
Pure nostalgia.

I'd rather watch those ships spin for hours than collecting caskets, urns and orbs in an ancient alien mall. :p
