From VR to Monitor

My ED is from EPIC.

I booted ED in VR, now I want to boot it in Monitor, but the graphics settings show up as VR's.

How can I change it to monitor?

I look in graphic options, but i can´t change resolution to 2560 x 1440. Notice that my hmd is not plugged in.

The strange thing is that when i launch ED also launch SteamVR even with Steam closed.

Post #10 in this thread should help you:

Expand the plus sign + next to 3D and take it off of HMD Headphones or HMD speakers whichever one it is on

That option don´t appear because i don´t have the VR googles plugged.

I just change the resolution to 2560 x 1440

What confuse me, is that in quality only appears RV settings (low, medium, high, ultra)

I just set RV Ultra and make some little adjustments, and works well.

Flight Simulator let you modify graphic config for monitor and another separate config for VR, as many other games. I´s a pity ED don´t do this...

Thanks.

I have had mixed results when using EDProfiler. In some cases, after detecting current settings, creating a new profile and then applying them the game runs at 5 frames per second. I have figured out that, at least in my case, EDProfiler automatically sets the "Limit Frame Rate" to on and to a default value of 5. Please make sure you manually untick the frame rate limitation in the EDProfiler user interface before saving or applying any profile.

Also in some cases EDProfiler has told me to edit line 2 of the GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml file from

<GraphicsConfig />

into

<GraphicsConfig>

While the former is a legal way of denoting an empty tag, I have changed the line to look like this:

<GraphicsConfig></GraphicsConfig>

which apears to work and is correct as well.

A third problem I have had is that EDProfiler incorrectly detects the Super Sampling setting. Mine was set to 1.25 but was detected by EDProfiler to be 1.0. Manually setting it back to 1.25 to match the current settings in game works.

A nice tool but a little buggy. So be aware.
