General / Off-Topic Frontier are hiring.

Nah. I'm just talking about the image at the bottom of the newsletter. Bothered me enough to come here and grammar Notzee.

Cute that you can't type the real word though.

Î think the OP refers to the verb in the sentences, i.e. "Frontier is hiring" vs "Frontier are hiring". Afaik both forms are correct, one refers to Frontier as a singular entity, the other refers to them as a group of people (in the same way that "the police" is used in plural). Personally, I also mostly use the plural verb form. :)

You should make that sound smarter. Frontier is hiring. You're welcome!

Wow, a thread about grammar? Ok, ill bite.

Both are acceptable. If you use IS then you are referring to Frontier as a single entity. If you use ARE you are referring to Frontier as a group with many parts.

So in this case they chose to refer to the company in the singular. Nothing wrong with that.

LOL, ninja'd, almost exactly.

heh, don't correct the correct.

I fit the qualifications for their web dev one but I wouldn't apply for them. They need to allow working from home so they can pay me to play Elite and pretend I'm working.
