Frontier CAPI is a service third-party tools use to retrieve player data

NB: You have to authorise a tool in order for it to be able to utilise the CAPI to access your game data.

Elite Dangerous Market Connector will show 'unable to get endpoint /profile' on auto-update or 'Update' press because Frontier CAPI is down.

This also means the EDSM 'dashboard updater' cannot function as normal for console users.

Journal Limpet can't function.

FCMS will also be affected (it uses the CAPI /fleetcarrier endpoint).

Frontier knows, it's lower priority than general server stability. Be patient.

It's the first orange response I've seen to all the flaming threads. I could be wrong but to someone who is only checking the most recent posts, this is fdevs only response I've seen on the forums. Maybe they should hit a few more threads, a little more often.

However pretty much the entire community has been saying that for years so how can anyone really be surprised 🤷‍♂️

Also us console cmdrs have no choice but to be patient. This has been getting old for too long
