To Whom It May Concern,
I'm writing, because I've exhausted every possible way of going about this issue.
I have a ticket opened, and had a few back and forths with support, but I know they are busy and I don't wish to bother them or keep others from getting replies, especially since nothing has changed on my part and have nothing new to present support.
I've been active on Steam, discussing this issue with others, but the more time that goes by, the less people seem to encounter it
The issue I am referring to is "System Claim Unsuccessful".
I presumed that the latest update (March 19th) will at least mark the affected systems, making them unavailable for future attempts, however, this doesn't seem to be the case, as I try multiple times during the day, because there is no way of me knowing when or how exactly this will be fixed.
I've been very eager for the Colonization update since February 26th and bookmarked up to 6 different systems I wouldn't mind colonizing in the order of availability when the update is released. When I signed in at the launch of the update, the desired system ended up giving me "System Claim Unsuccessful" messages and all the other bookmarked systems were taken (as I've predicted). Ever since, I try multiple times hoping that something could have changed, especially since I did hear people who had this issue claiming that it just worked for them eventually. However, I've been trying since the 26th of February and haven't been able to claim this system and it's already April. Some of you might think I'm crazy or weird, but I have plans for this system as it would tie into a story that I have written.
I do have a ticket opened regarding this case, but as mentioned earlier, I know they are busy nor can I expect them to keep me up-to-date all the time, I'm hoping somebody from the dev team will notice this instead.
Unfortunately, now while so many of the players have claimed systems already, many have been made aware of this system I have been very eager to claim. There are more Fleet Carrier in it too, and I worry that this will result in a significantly less worse chance of success in claiming it, when it does finally become fixed.
So what I am asking is, if those of us who are dealing with this problem, could get any insight as to when this is planned to get fixed or what the current stance on this specific issue is? I've been incredibly patient and it would be nice to hear something about this. I spent hours playing this game, exploring the deep space, but now all I do is hover around the desired system, to always be nearby if a fix unexpectedly comes through. Or I just sit in the Hangar and play other games and try every now and then to see if a Successful Claim is possible. Now, I'm aware how weird this sounds, but this is what I'm like, if I sent my mind on to something I will be devoted in seeing it through.
Originally with the latest update, I thought that those who trigger this "error" will flag these systems so that the developers can have a look into what is causing it and fix it. Nevertheless, since they are not being marked as "unclaimable" after the first attempt since the March 19th update, I'm not sure if the developers even get notified which systems are problematic.
Anyways, here's a summary for those who don't want the long text:
Thank you developers and the rest of the team for the work and time you invest into this game and also the community for keeping it rather chill and friendly,
kind regards,
- Dave

Anyways, here's a summary for those who don't want the long text:
- System Claim Unsuccessful still an issue
- Can't claim desired system
- It is desired, because I wrote a story around it and would like to make something of it in the game
- Hoping to get some answers or insight as to when this will be fixed, if ever...
Thank you developers and the rest of the team for the work and time you invest into this game and also the community for keeping it rather chill and friendly,
kind regards,
