I’ll tell you who else is confused about what “promises” were made back in Kickstarter - David Braben.

I distinctly remember him saying in the recent Dev Diary thing that they’re finally delivering on a KS promise regarding on-foot gameplay.

Perhaps they are only promises in retrospect if they actually manage to deliver on them

Who cares? At least that was an obvious scam from the start from my perspective – credit where credit is due.

I tried to bail on SC but was refused a refund. I jumped in at a time when SC was aiming to be a spiritual sequel to privateer and possibly the best damn space game ever.... I lost faith when that changed to the best damn everything game ever!!!!!.
So I am in for the long haul like it or not but I will say it is slowly coming together.
There is still a chance.imo that SC is going to be something special when/if it comes.... (Despite wasting a lot of money)

The claim that Frontier "promised" something, is not a new claim, and has its roots in the kickstarter, when people confused the FAQ or the videos as being promises, so you're not the first and not the last to confuse matters.

We all make mistakes, me more than others, so I hope you'll forgive the patronising tone of this comment, I honestly don't mean it in such a manner.

I've been here a while too. I was involved in the kickstarter, but only invested seriously from Premium Beta, so (like you) I'm used to Fronntier not following through on anything they "promise" and also the fact that they are so vague with anything that say, that people tend to latch on to the little information that comes through.
as for being patronising, you were not as bad as most ot the "ehite knights" on here

It is slowly falling apart. Though that seems to have picked up speed recently with all the "roadmap" revisions.
