Frontier is getting New Headquarters

I will be honest here and say this thread gave me a fright at first as the thought of Elite being created and worked on anywhere but Cambridge just wouldn't "seem" right, but after reading that they are indeed staying in Cambridge, I am content. Why does Cambridge matter? It just does.....um......reasons....yes that will do!

Compared to Blizzard's headquarters in Irvine (1 Blizzard Way, Irvine, CA 92618, USA), Frontier's new real-estate is about 1/7th the size of that (including the vacant front area). That's still pretty big. Land prices are probably higher in Cambridge.

Added image of the location on Google Maps. It's really big if that front area also belongs to Frontier. They could use that as parking space or to build another office in the future.

I thought Cambridge Science Park would have more security with gated entrances. The roads leading into CSP don't seem to have any gates.

The science park isn't gated at all. It is a lovely area though. Maybe Cambridge has a better class of people than the rest of the country, hence the lack of need for security gates.

No Ant, Cambridge has it's scum just like anywhere else. I got a right beating there some years ago now, but yeah they were like the SDC! 4 picking on one defenceless young newb sidewinder

The front entrance isn't gated, but all the pedestrian side entrances and the back road entrance get closed outside of business hours and there's a security team on site.

It's quite annoying if you usually slip in through the gate closest to frontier but then you have to come in on the weekend and go all the way around to the front.

Alright. Do you know if this area outlined in blue is also part of the Frontier Headquarters? Because I checked some online documents of 26-27 Cambridge Science Park and it seems to exclude that which would be a pitty. It should be purchased for potential expansion in the future. It's units 22 and 25.
