Frontier share prices tumble due to slow sales of multiple titles on PC, while sales of the new console generation breaks records

Frontier share prices have taken a dive and they are essentially blaming slow sales of JWE2 and Odyssey and more specifically they are citing poor sales on the PC platform. In the meantime sales of the new console generation continues to break records in terms of volume and game sales on both XBox and Playstation.

There's an easy answer to this problem within all of this, isn't there?

Do you console CMDRs think that this will spur Frontier to ..

a) bring forward plans for Odyssey on console?
b) about face and target the current generation of consoles for Odyssey with a native version including upgraded textures, resolution options, etc?
c) implement commonly requested console features such as cross play and more flexible controller support?
agreed 100% but watch this thread get band because it's for consoles and points out Fdevs failings.

Who cares about share prices except the shareholders?
People with an axe to grind, ex-boyfriends, white knights and as you said above shareholders.
I dont think quoting index 500 trends will make FD release a faulty product just to please the impatient

Indeed and nor will rushing out a console release. We saw what happened when they rushed Ody out the door for pc.

Company stocks go up and down its the nature of the beast.

It matters, because Frontier is a business owned by its shareholders. That's what pays the bills, and pays people's salaries.

Let's just say, if I worked for Frontier right now, I'd be sending out my CV to agencies. 🤷‍♀️

The share price reflects the confidence of investors. Once sold shares generate no further income for Frontier (as has been pointed out previously).

However, any employees of Frontier who are also investors in the company may not be very pleased with the performance of the share price.

The drop is due to reassessment of projected income due to sales, the blame being on lower sales for JWE2 than expected (on PC) and "muted" sales for Odyssey.

That means not the Consoles are the Gods gift on Earth for FD, but simply the fact it meant they probably had conservative sales estimates for Consoles and extremely optimistic for PC which were counted as the main source of income most probably, else PC sales failing to meet projected numbers would have had a small to non-noticeable effect.
Low sales (general speaking) for JWE2 can also be blame onto the delay of Jurassic World: Dominion for June 2022. I do think if Dominion released this year, prior to JWE2 launch as planned, it would had greatly boosted JWE2 sales.

Now, regarding your abc questions, no. Not at all
a) Their plans for EDO on consoles are already set from what we know (finish fixing EDO on PC > then start working on Consoles Version)
b) that will happen only if their marketing team will deem it as profitable (no matter your console bias and claimed knowledge, They DO know better!)
c) same as above.

I was surprised to discover this week that you can cross-play with pc and console players on BF2042 and I believe there is no m/k support on consoles. I even use a controller on PC BF2042.

So yea the cross-play disparity between controllers, m/k and hotas is a fairly weak argument imo.
You can crossplay between actual console and streaming via gamepass with the new halo.

This whole "not fair!" argument is just absurd.
