Frontier stole my money and now my game as well

This DLC is so broken that i literally can not play any instance of the game.

I died on foot so i went to the redeploy screen as normal, but then a yellow adder error so im back on the main menu than i log again rebuy my ship as normal and than when im leaving the station anothe yellow adder error and guess what a have to redeploy again and my credits have been discounted from the previous redeploy.

I went to anothe system change my ship then exit the game log in again and guess what...... i have to redeploy again..... with the cost fee of the current ship.

So i keep doing this just to see, now im without money and ships in all instances of the game Horizons and Elite Dangerous.

Support ticket useless...
Issue tracker done but also useless...

did you ask for a refund? I heard that Steam is now issuing refunds even if you have more than 2 hours on the base game.

Possibly related problem here - died on foot this afternoon and haven't been able to play since. After my death/arrest I redeployed from a prison ship - so far so good. I booked a shuttle back to where my ships are, got in and left the game unattended for the duration of the trip. Came back to an error screen and haven't been able to get in. Launching again, restarting game doesn't seem to help.

EDIT: Restarting PC solved it

Well, for me and many others, things are working pretty well. PC of course.

Some have gamma issues, others with fps and a few with connection problems.

Although Frontier won't say so, it's a beta.

Theft is a bit harsh and unwarranted. Go get a refund.

Your connection issues seem extreme.

Maybe it's your rig?

Indeed. Planetary tech and graphic engine are still not finished.

I said this in another thread - but they should have just sold this as "early access". They would still have gotten a decent amount of revenue from their die-hard player base and saved themselves A LOT of bad publicity.

If their goal was to draw in new players with Odyssey.... well you know the saying - you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

This could end up doing real long term damage to their brand.

Absolutely!

If they labeled Odyssey as an early access alpha, and gave players an honest way to perceive the game, all of the crap since release could have been understandable. 100%. Keeping it a separate build entirely from Horizons would have been ideal as well.

Calling it a full release to up preorder buys was a straight up dupe to a small fanbase of a niche game. Honestly, I think preorders still wouldn't have suffered if it were called an early access game.

heads up from a long time SC player - if you think Odyssey requires high end PC, get ready for Star Citizen. This game will easily fry up a middle of the road PC. If you don't have at least 16GB of ram and an SSD, the game will launch with a warning.
Also, SC is full of bugs, bad performance and not very stable, especially during free fly events.

However, IT IS FREAKING GORGIOUS game. The planetary tech is what you would expect from a 2021 game, not the trash we got in Odyssey.

I hope you enjoy it but set your expectations to low... especially now since everybody and their grandma is trying it.

I'm on console and using Horizons. I have not been able to login since Odyssey's release. If you can find a workaround for me (separate from the multitude I've tried via the Xbox forums), I'll gladly yawn right along with you. Otherwise, appreciate yet another glib response (this forum seems to breed many of them) to valid issues.

I've only ever experienced 1 game breaking bug in SC - getting stuck in a lift once, twice.... a few times......
