I have casual player buddy whos endgoal for combat ships is the FDL + On top of that he currently has a Vulture, so these 2 first chrome paintjobs would have been a perfect gift.

It would be nice if the store worked the same as searching friends ingame. And the gift towards cmdr names instead of their email.

Currently I'm using the Tactical Ice one (I think it's called – the white one at any rate), but I think the Graphite one looks decent on it as well. I also have the regular colored ones for it. A gray/silver/what have you type metallic would be ideal for what I'm going for with it though, I think. A free one? Well, I wouldn't count on it, but wouldn't mind buying one either way.

Don't mean to derail the thread or anything; just very much hoping we'll see a "chromed" paint job for this ship too, or similar.

It actually looks like fesces to be honest. Really hope they fix these paints and make them ressemble actual chrome or at least something that doesn't look like they hired someone that works with MS Paint.

Does anyone know why they even removed the original Chrome and now only sell the Chromed versions? It's not like they removed it from people who had gotten it - it's just only no longer obtainable, which makes little sense to me. It's not like they couldn't just hand out both versions to people who buy the new ones as well.

Not sure, but maybe it's something to do with them being exclusive, time specific paint jobs.
