That could be sen as you confirming that you have been able to play a basic version of the game and like what you have seen.
Ok so it doesn't really but i'm with the other users and members. I've been waiting nearly 6 years ( since I found the frontier site) for further news on a game that they hoped to release in 2002. 4 years later and still we have nothing.
Please give us something. Even somehting small would be better than nothing

Sounds a bit familiar... (taking liberty by subbing in the Elite IV name)

A: "Yes."
Truthful answer but very ambiguous (spelling??). Personally, I'm glad that there is a forum for us Elite Fanatics. It's a sign that there is light at the end of the hyperspace jump and it might not be a Thargoid. (Meaning its a good thing!)

I loved FE2, it is my all time favourite game but this wait is killing me.
Does anyone else think that the play.com release date was spot on and given to them by frontier? Obviously it has had to put back since then but i think....Well I hope that it was legit.
I can't wait to visit Barnards star again and see scirroco station.
I loved the freedom in the game. It was truly amazing.

I know if I was developing Elite 4 I would find it flattering to have a fan base keen on seeing the fruits of my efforts like this one. I'd just think, "Yeah, okay - let's give 'em a taste - but just a taste, maybe some screen shots once a month or something."
But at the same time I can understand the tight-lipped approach and the reasons behind it. For us it just makes for a great suprise on release and you'll probably kiss your friends, career and girlfriend/wife goodbye after waiting so long for it. I thought the addicts' footage for Civ 4 to be an example of what Elite 4 is going to do to us.
