FSD jump mechanics rework

Could even go with until that tank (assuming a whole tank was fueled with premium) is empty and allow multiple jump plots in the gal map using the boosted range.

Nah, that would be far too powerful, unfortunately. Gotta consider that boosted range also dramatically increases fuel efficiency. With a full boosted fuel tank, an exploration ship could travel something like 5000ly without needing to refuel.

Fair point, my perspective is often a bit myopic to my class 1, 2 tonne fuel tank.

Could perhaps do something with FSD performance degrading with each boosted jump (synthesis or premium paid fuel) or module damage like neutron boosts.

I'm just looking for away around shooting rocks for polonium.

If you get bored collecting Polonium, might I suggest my guide on Srv Exploration? There's way more to do on planet surfaces than people realize!

I think we have enough jump range available nowadays that we don’t need “jump as far as you have fuel for in one go” mechanics added.

I do (continue to!) agree that being able to choose the specific STAR in a system you want to jump to would be a huge QoL value add.

Allow us to jump as far, as you have fuel. It would considerably

nah.

the jump range does not scale linearly with the quantity of fuel used.
You'd not jump that far you'd think you would 😂

What i'd really wish was a fuel limiter - like the scale we have for cago... but for fuel usage (obviously not exceeding the normal max fuel usage, but allowing to set lower limits)
