Fuel tank empty - what can I do?

You have two options

1) Contemplate your life as your ship slowly shuts itself down and eventually you suffocate when life support fails.

2) Or self destruct.

And unfortunately you won't even get a quiet death - option one also ends in a self destruct.

Sorry to hear. Would have loved to see game mechanics supporting distress beacons , fuel swapping , payments.
Who knows who would answer your call.

You can always logout and wait for update 1.3 to see if they decide to add a fuel transfer option, so a friend can add you to his wing and locate your ship via the wing beacon and transfer fuel to you, if you don't want to wait you have to self destruct as many have said.

Are you sure you're completely out of fuel? If you reduce your mass by dumping all of your cargo you can sometimes have enough to make it to the next system.

Go out, have an awesome night and make sure to get very, very drunk, then come back and self destruct. You will find that you care far less, and may even find it amusing :D
