I see swarms of dedicated mining-Adders attached to asteroids, as far as the eye can see, spraying out vast clouds of unwanted material, before leaving, holds bulging with coltan, to rejoin their mother-ships.
I see Eagles attached to the crippled and the stranded, to effect repairs in battle or jump FSD-less ships back to the nearest station.
I see Dropships attached to the outsides of Anacondas and stations, injecting payloads of troops and adding a new dimension to piracy and war.
I see Anacondas attached to contested stations, turrets of extreme death for the wrong faction - and FSD-less Sidewinders attached to the Anacondas, trading turretry for travel.
I see hitch-hikers exploring the galaxy for less than fifty Altairian dollars a day - and unwanted, unwary hitch-hikers being scraped off the hull like barnacles.
Suggestion: Landing gear that can be upgraded to fully-fledged magnetic and mechanical docking-clamps, that can attach a ship to any solid-enough surface.
