Fungoida spawns are broken

Fix them.

That is all.

Acceptable responses:

1. "You're right, they're broken.
2. "We're sorry."
3. "We'll have them fixed by next patch."

Unacceptable responses:

1. "You're doing it wrong."
2. "Just search mountainous areas."
3. "Have you tried using night vision?"

4 hours. I spent 4 hours bouncing up and down through Orbital Cruise and the surface of ICZ ZZ-X B1-3 A 1, focusing on mountainous areas in the Fungoida heatzone map. I found a grand total of one batch of fungoida. So do not tell me I'm not doing it right.
Ive been finding them all morning, just saying 🤷‍♂️

Also, word to the wise: you say that a previous suggestion was shot down. Well, if something doesn't work out how you want it to, and your response is to come here insisting that it must be broken and you can't possibly be wrong and anything other than complete agreement is an unacceptable response... then yes, you should expect all suggestions to be shot down.

Says you.

i got the information I wanted.

i haven’t been back to THAT particular system, but my next two fungoida searches went relatively smoothly.

Happens. Usually problem is PC itself. It does not load things in time when you pass it. On some planets I passed empty terrain then turned back - and it is full of the grass. But on my PC it is rare case. Disembark out of any vehicles helps to shake/speed up things.

As for your claim of the Fungoida not being difficult to find and your screenshot showing yourself apparently on ground level, literally EVERY guide and suggestion I have read about searching for Fungoida has said "look on the sides and tops of mountains."

If they're now down on the ground level, that's a new development and someone from FDev should've said something.
I hate to break it to you but high ground is still the ground

My personal experience with Fungoida (and to a lesser extent some types of Osseus and Frutexa): spend 5 minutes to find the first one, flying low, then spend 2 minutes finding a suitable landing area (Hauler FTW!).
Spend the next 30-60 minutes to find the following two specimens, either in the same zone, or elsewhere on the planet.
Upon scanning the 3rd and final specimen, walk to that lovely hill, not too distant, to celebrate success with a nice screenshot, and realise that, beyond the hill there are hundreds Fungoida(/Osseus/Frutexa) waiting, as far as the eye can see!

This has happened so often, that I believe the game has set up a conspiracy against me! 😭

Some planets are harder than others, but when I struggle with Fungoida usually it's not finding them at all (although it can take a while as you say) but finding somewhere nearby to land.
Buy a DBX and that will never be a problem.

As for fungoida, if I find one sample in the mountains, I stay on foot - there's usually another a few km away at most, and not worth struggling with an SRV for relaunching your ship for... just use a sniper rifle with a scope to look far away. The helmet HUD helpfully shows how far from your previous samples you are.

Indeed, there are some plants for which only one example has ever been found in the wild. Whole lives have been devoted to unsuccessfully tracking down more. A few hours looking for a fungus in this game is pretty insignificant, really.

If you know, you know.

Not just you.
