There was a pirate named David Attenborough but... i did not killed him. That guy make incredible documentaries for the BBC, he shouldn't be a pirate in that game but an explorer you only find in remote area of the galaxy. If you haven't yet go watch "Life" (2009), it's great.

Don't think any npc's have sticked to my mind yet but after looking for a black market for a while, Compton Hub didn't disappoint I remember thinking "If this one doesn't have it I might as well quit the game".
