Well, Jeb has survived more insane situations. He was once flying a super-massive shuttle I made when 30 seconds into the launch the cockpit just fell off. The MK-3 cockpit he was in had medium landing gear. I deployed it and used RCS to attempt to slow down his fall. He hit the ground at 100 m/s and the whole cockpit bounced back into the air. After it had settled, Jeb hopped out and ran all the way back to the space center, and as a grand finalie, he knocked himself out by trying to jump through the door to mission control.
