I found an NPC called Guybrush Threepwood................(and if that name means nothing to you your childhood was crap)

Ive been saying that since the beginning.
It still amazes me that after all the years of work they put into this game, that somewhere along the line they decided to populate it with comedy names.
I've got used to it now, so it doesnt bother me, but I do still think it was a strange decision.
Personally, I would rather that we didnt see the commander names at all, just the ship and a registration plate (like in FFE), with the pilot details only revealed by a 'lifeform' scan or something, those details would then appear in the panel.
(My npc name wasnt a comedy one and I still havent seen it in game
Are these real names in the game or call signs? If the latter, then of course, you'll find some that are funny.
I saw a Sarl Cagan. I felt bad for blowing him up.
