I enjoy sniffing new books. I mean, I really snort in the scent.
Perhaps I have a fetish.

I tried sniffing my Kindle. Nothing.
Maybe I should try while it's downloading a book.
Darned magic gnomes. Always keeping the best stuff for themselves.
I have recurring nightmares. Mostly from my time in the military. Sometimes. I fall asleep in my chair and wake up with a feeling in my throat like I've been screaming. I look around and see my wife and the dogs staring at me. Perhaps they sense something.
I was on an airplane trip and something similar happened. But I woke up and saw this cute little girl, maybe 10 or 11 staring wide eyed at me. I told her that I think I fell asleep. She said "You sure did!" Ah, kids are so cute at that age.
Alright, I wanted to share my harmless quirk, but vermin kind of killed it, here...

Totally with you there. If you've ever heard the Lave Radio guys going on about sniffing manuals ... that started because I foolishly confessed to liking not only reading instruction manuals, but sniffing them as well. And yes, that extends to all books (and CDs and record sleeves). I'll give you a little tip too ... if you're interested in old books try and get really old copies from abebooks.com. I've got a copy of Pride and Prejudice that's like book sniffers crack!I enjoy sniffing new books. I mean, I really snort in the scent.

Sadly, the book smell we all love is actually the book slowly disintegrating.
