Future Anniversary Animals

Just like Red deer in my opinion 🤷🏽
I'm not sure the General Public was ready to buy 2 European Deer in 2 Separate Packs than 2 Cats, at least before Deer from Other Regions.

I'd say dromedary or black rhino cuz
1. there are existent props in base game already
2. the noises and the current models suggest it could have been replaced by Bactrian camel and Indian rhino at the last minute so there could still be the original models...
I think they could easily sell these in a Pack. I can already see the Dromedary headlining a Desert or Drylands Animal Pack. Black Rhino can be in the same Pack too.

idk but I feel this animal can work as Anniversary right?

even though I prefer it to be animal in dlc that frontier will improve their enrichment in their exhibit and also the Two-Toed Sloth are much more active and fast the the Brown-Throated Sloth, but I think it can somehow work. I just want to get the Two-Toed Sloth so BADLY.
I'm actually hoping for this guy to be in a Pack so that it is more unique like you said. Whether in WE or Habitat, they deserve a unique touch. If we get Two-Toed Sloths using the Same Animations and Scenery Props, I'm going to be let down. I want Rope-Based Enrichment for these guys, like Ladders and everything you see in Zoos.

I wish, that let be multiple Anniversary animal in the game! A habitat and a exhibit animal annually.

My wishlist for Anniversary animals:
Mute swan, Sumatran tiger and Short-beaked Echidna as habitat animals

Indian cobra, Common basilisk and Red-eared slider as exhibit animals.
Of these only the Sumatran Tiger and Red-Eared Slider are possible I think. The others can easily sell.

I agree, but I mean we did get the red deer, which was very much requested.

I'm not gonna say it's impossible, but it's not likely
Red Deer was very popular before they added Fallow. I don't remember them getting many Votes after that. We'll see how the Sloth performs.

How about Muskox?
Another possible Headliner for a future Pack. The same can be said about the Wolverine. Anniversary Wishes are not only straying into Paid DLC Territory, but Headliners of these Packs at this point.

I think the greater rhea works an anniversary animal.
It would be a really great choice. Greater Rhea would be the counterpart of the Ostrich for a big South America habitat with multiple species. At Wilhelma in Stuttgart, Germany they are hold together with Patagonian Maras, Giant Anteater and Llamas.

Honestly, a lot could work, but I really hope that it's chosen based on geography, and not other criteria. Like we need more non tropical South America rep, more small monkey, more madagascar rep, more Australian rep, and more rep from groups like Mustelidae, Vivveridae, and Pinnipedia.
So ideally...
South Amaerica: Rhea, Viscacha, Cavies would all be great examples.
Small monkey: Howler monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, Spider monkeys, Ukari, Tamarins, etc
Madagascar: Aye-Aye, Tarsier
Australia/NZ: Bilbies, Tasmanian devils, possums, etc.
Mustelid: Sea Otter (Only other otter than should be added, if any more are to be), Wolverine, Fisher, Mink, Marten, etc.
Viverid: These are your civets. We needs some, flat out.
Pinnipeds: Walrus, Stellar Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Lake Baikal seals, fur seals, etc.

Lastly, four dark horse candidates that would be amazing as anniversary animals.
Porcupines: Literally any.
Naked Mole Rat
Alligator Snapping Turtle
A giant Salamander (Japanese or Chinese).

As it is a present I would really take everything. The Red Deer was really a big surprise last year in my opinion but If we should get the Nile Crocodile or the Black Caiman at the end for free I would also not moan about it. With the Black Caiman we would at least finish all Caiman Genus 😃.

I think if we are going to get any new anniversary species, they will probably be something similar to what's already in the game and a species that hasn't been requested highly. The two species we've received so far have been a lemur, that is almost identical to one already in the game, and another deer. They are probably going to save highly requested animals, such as the Andean bear or porcupines, for paid DLC. Also, Frontier seems to have a heavy bias towards mammals, so birds and reptiles are probably unlikely.
I think likely options could include:
  • Either the Sri Lankan or Sumatran elephant
  • American black bear
  • Vicuna or Guanaco
  • Another wolf or fox
But then again, they could surprise us with a very unique species. This is just a guess and would depend upon what DLCs were to come before the anniversary. If they added something new, I would hope for something like:
  • Takin
  • Porcupine
  • Civet
  • Secretarybird/Crowned pigeon/Ground hornbill/Shoebill or some other habitat bird
  • Brand new primate like a mangabey or spider monkey
Honestly, any option from above would be nice, but I doubt that we'll get something brand new as an anniversary gift. But I could be wrong.

I have a feeling it could be a walkthrough exhibit bird, or at least some animal base game players can use in walkthrough exhibits. Normally frontier tries to let base game players enjoy new features too, with the exception being walk through exhibits. If you only have base game they sit around useless.

I agree with this. I thought it was odd that the only WE animals were in DLC despite the WE being in the base game

I can see us getting a macaw or something as a base game animal for anniversary. Still think a black rhino or dromedary is more likely though

There is so many good choices:-( it is sad we wont see more animals for things like christmas, valentines Day, Easter etc...I would pay for them even if they would be reskins like:

American Black Bear

Frankly I wouldn’t mind if I could get both of the American reps 🇺🇸. Maybe that’s a bit greedy though :p

You can get a bit of all of them with the bear macaque (Macaca arctoides)

People posting pictures taken from random google accounts take a SERIOUS risk to get a very big credits sue on their heads, especially when they take the pictures from American people, as they are into copyright most of this world. I would only use your own taken photo's if I were you.

And please don't be so disrespectful towards Americans.

I appreciate the warning.
However, I doubt that most people really care (unless they're jerks). I've noticed that you only get sued for copyright if you're making some kind of profit on it, but if you just post a pic or something for conversation, nobody says anything

Well, I posted a picture of a mythological monster on my tumblr, without earning money, and I had to buy myself out of the situation, Europe vs America made it a little bit better for me personally as in my Country we don't have such insane stupid laws gladly.
