I thought there was one free drink included with the Founders ticket (as did others I spoke too). However, the bar staff were none the wiser (though I did manage to get a double out of them before they realised that they weren't allowed to serve them).
Did any Founder get a free drink?
The voucher for a free drink had been missed from the bags so we (or at least those who were around at the time) were told to come back to the entrance of the bar area at about 7:45 and we would receive them then. Realising not all Founders were there to hear the announcement, I posted the information on the FDExpo Facebook page to try and spread the word. The person giving out the vouchers later moved to the entrance of the Main stage hall and when returning after a trip to the 'facilities' I was offered a second one!
I've not tried mine yet because my main character is out somewhere between the bubble and Colonia, but my understanding is that although these items are visible in Holo-Me, they are not necessarily available (usually indicated by a small padlock symbol) and can only be used to preview before buying, as mentioned in a recent update?
We were expecting a better choice of food and drink and yes the prices were extortionate. During the whole day we had two bags of crisps and something described as "Been Chilli", but not sure what it was when we got it!
If we'd known about the sports café we'd have definitely gone there. As for the bar prices - £5:30 for a 285 ml bottle of beer! That works out at getting on for £11 a pint! It comes to something when you can't wait to get back to the hotel bar for cheaper prices! There was a fairly well hidden free bar for those lucky enough to have a VIP pass.I did enjoy the event as a whole, it was just a shame about the catering.
