G forces during combat?

My understanding of the game, includes that there is no "artificial gravity" as a technology available.
Shouldn't that mean that ship pilots should have the same issue that present fighter pilots experience, i.e. blackouts at persistent 9g and redouts at -3g.
Now it could be that the way the present ships are built that none actually achieve those, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the faster fighters do.

So how about it FD, worth of inclusion, or unnecessary complexity?

You can 'red-out' in a Viper, Cobra and Courier, if you do it right and I would say that it can be done in other ships as well. I can only talk about my own experiences.

Pitching down (especially while boosting) will cause a red out in some ships.
Most of the ships don't have the vertical acceleration to cause blackouts.
However the ventral thrusters become more powerful with gravity so positive-g pitching above planets seem to be more able to cause blackouts.

In any case we can sit quite happily and even go and get in our SRV and drive around on nearly 10g planets with no worries so I'd say ED pilots have pretty good g-handling.
