With the new increased spawn rate of high grade emission signal sources... you found the inara page; did you click on the mat you want to see what it says about where to find it?

I think the go is like Dav’s Hope. The crashed Anacondas.
Uh Jameson’s crashed Cobra.
Those Geo sites out in HIP 36601 or wherever.

it does shows the location it just idk where to find them, im not a experience player like you guys are

There is also Material Trader thingy. But with G4 and G5 level expect that they'll ask exorbitant amounts of lower grade materials for single G4/5. Anyway, if you're overflowing with certain thing you can always exchange it for something you need. Tho it won't be much.

For conductive scrap I usually go to anarchy systems with resource extraction sites, kill miners - beware they will drop mines and run away.
Modified embedded firmware - I get them as mission reward from allied factions.
All raw materials - find nearest planets using eddb.io.
For full g5 per module I try to have 10 units of each required mat.

Youl find a a eazy guide here i did for a while, the fastest way to get stuff, skip the Barnecle things lists are outdated thx fdev stuff.

You will get you Manifactured all for that from Dav´s Hope, for raw do standart surface stuff in Bubble will be fastest. Else follow the guide -->

all i know is just anaconda crash, jameson crash and Dav's hope that's all.

Let's take G5 Overcharged MC, from your screenshot. Single roll requires:
  • Zirconium
  • Conductive Polymers
  • Modified Embedded Firmware

When you mousover the material you'll get popup saying where to find that:

- Zirconium: surface prospecting, mining.
For surface prospecting you need to find moon/planet with high % of Zirconium. Browse star map, select star system, pick a planet and read the info about it (composition). There you'll get whats on the surface. When you find proper planet - go there, land anywhere, deploy SRV and start shooting little rocks and hope Zirconium will drop.

Long and tedious, especially with search, so go to EDDB.io and use "Bodies" search. Select Zirconium as your target mat, feed your currnet location and database will spill closest places where you canm find what you're looking for.

- Conductive Polymers: ship salvage (transport ships), surface POI, mission reward.
Mission reward is the easiest, just browse mission board and see which missions offer CP as possible reward option. Instead of full credit reward pict material and you're done. Ship salvage require...well, salvage. And this are made by exploding ships, transport ones. So pick place with lots of cargo ships, blow them up and pick what's left, hoping for your material to be there.

- Modified Embedded Firmware: surface data point, mission reward.
Again mission reward - you know what to do. Surface data point - you need surface settlement, mining base or whatever that has data access point. Deploy SRV, get close and scan that point. Upon scanning you may receive MEF. Or some other software. Scan what you can, exit to menu, re-enter your mode and re-scan. Rinse and repeat till you get enough.

Sadly in Ed there is no reliable source for certain material. Sources give multitude of data and materials, the higher grade, the lower chance which implies lots of time involved. But each material/data gathered that is NOT what you're looking for isn't a waste of time - previously mentioned Material Traders. Simply gather everything you can and exchange spare for what you need. Treat it as extra income.

You really need to increase that jumprange before you do anything else.

Try going to Zende and getting on the ferry to Guardian space (it jumps on Thursday mornings). Then go to a Guardian Module Blueprint site and gather what you need for the FSD Booster (+10.5ly jumps) - you will need at least one Planetary Vehicle Hangar with SRV buggy. As a bonus, travelling out that far will get you an invitation from the Engineer Elvira Martuuk, who can increase your existing jumprange by about 50% (she will need 3 Soontill Relics, and the system that sells those isn't far from Zende IIRC).

You will also need some materials. You can get both Manufactured and Encoded (data) as mission rewards, and Dav's Hope isn't far from Martuuk. Raw can be found by taking a passenger sightseeing mission to geysers/fumaroles and shooting and gathering stuff while you're there. The best source is the Crystalline Shards, but you really need a long-jumping ship first. The Bug Killer site is a closer source of raw materials, and Jameson's crashed Cobra is the best source of encoded.

Well... Let's start with some statements:
In the game you can shoot any ship basically. Additionally in the anarchy systems (where ship status is "lawless") you can kill and won't be penalized.
Condictive scrap - I mean conductive components/ceramics/polymers. The mats are specific for hauler ships: aspx, t6, t7, t9. After destruction the ships will left the mats - scoop them.
As for raw mats: type mat you need in eddb.io, enter your current system, find nearest with highest percentage acceptable gravity/distance from main star, install SRV module, buy scarab, land on the planet, drive to closest signal, watch for signals on the sensor, you will find stones - shoot em, they will drop raw materials.
As for Modified embedded firmware: stick to one faction, do thier missions, gain reputation and eventually they will give you missions with g5 mats. One of them is Modified embedded firmware.

I'd say before you go after G4/G5, get yourself up to G3 (those mats should be easily tradeable).

G3 should be enough for splatting NPCs. Do that enough and you'll get the higher level components eventually.

If you don't have a high enough jump range ship to go after raw mats I'd HIGHLY recommend a visit to Felicity in a DBX with an A rated FSD. Stick a 4A fuel scoop and an SRV in that and you should be able to get to pretty much anything in 30-45 minutes once you've engineered your FSD a bit. You'll need some fairly high level data though...

For the G4/G5s (as others have mentioned):
  • Dav's Hope
  • Conda crash sites (i.e. "Bug Killer")
  • Jameson's Crash (and trade for other Data)
  • Wake scan in Famine(?) systems
  • Crystalline surface sites

There's no "auto-fill" option so all of these require "grind" if you want them quick.

You should do something about your jump range, everything in the game gets faster to acquire as a result.

Here's the spreadsheet I usually use when I hunt for certain materials/data:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...RsDxfAcQa7cBq0YUIFy3m2NII/edit#gid=1438475835

Although this is from v3.1, most of the info is still good, with some exceptions (e. g. you won't find distribution centers to farm DWEs at due to a lack of famine systems since the advent of the new BGS).
