Engineers Gaining engineer reputation with rare goods

Six of the engineers have a commodities market where goods can be sold to unlock high level upgrades. This works on profit, which is becoming a bit of a problem now that hundreds of CMDRs are visiting these engineers every day.
One of the best ways to make a quick trade profit is to trade rare goods. I have made a list of the rare goods that have the maximum profit (over 145ly) for each engineer. I've excluded rares over 180ly and stations with very long supercruise distances.
These tables have the jump distances to the engineer and the distance between the various rare goods sources.

Examples of how to use the tables:
Start at Sirius to get rares for Marco. It's 145ly to HIP 80364 to get some HIP Organophosphates. The closest system to HIP 80364 in the table is Rajukru at 50ly, to buy some multistoves. From Rajukru it's 126ly to Karetii. From Kareti it's 98ly to Ochoeng, then 97ly to Kamorin and from there 71ly to Nguna. Your ship might now be full, so it's 165ly back to Sirius.
That's a 752ly round trip, which an Asp could do in 25-30 jumps.
.
Start at Kuk for Selene.
145ly to CD-75 661
40ly to Baltah'Sine
69ly to Arouca
28ly to Any Na
52ly to Deuringas
158ly to Tanmark
18ly to Tarach Tor
29ly to Utgaroar
50ly to Coquim
130ly to Jotun
39ly to HIP 10175
128ly to Kachirigin
95 to Vanayequi
156 to return to Kuk
That's 1137ly for the lot. I'd probably break that into two shorter routes, returning from Deuringas.
Rares for Liz is a little too easy. Just doing the Lave cluster will fill some ships.

edit - updated the route planners. Coordinates of Helvetitj corrected, plus a few new rare goods added.

Very nice. Been using this quite a lot since the beta and it works like a charm.

I would just note that going beyond rank 3 rep by selling goods starts to become quite ineffective.

I tested that last night. 54 tons of rares to The Dweller (900Kcr) took me from L3 80% to L4 10%. I then did 10 throwaway L1 upgrades and only gained about 5% more. So it would take a few complete loads to get to level 5, but the time it would take to do this may be slightly better than farming the materials and gaining reputation with upgrades. As a bonus, you also get a fair bit of exploration data on the route.

Excellent work my friend, excellent!

Just an update. I followed this for Marco qwent, and unfortunately, Nguna currently doesn't have a market, and all but the first 2 systems only dropped 1 or 2 items for me. HIP 80364 and Rajukru dropped 30 - 45 items each, so it may just be worthwhile to do these two considering the distance travelled for the relatively few items on the rest. Do a full circuit and they probably would have re-stocked (depending on your jump range of course)

Just curious have you compared the time needed to do this versus say mining and repeatedly crafting a cheap level 1 mod?

I did compare and use the two methods.

Mining is faster if you mine with an anaconda. A single 200-250 tons of precious metals will sell > 3M at the engineer base,
which makes for level 3 in one go. This has to be compared to three 64 tons rare loops that you need to achieve the same.

Then there is always the matter of which is more fun to you. I like to mix it up. Too bad you can't sell stolen goods, I would
love to pirate a T9 hold of cold diamonds to rep with an engineer.

This seems like an awful lot of work for not much gain. 900kcr profit for over 1000 Ly trip and dozens of station visits doesn't seem worth it. I currently haul 700 tons of random stuff less than 30 Ly and make a profit of 400,000—500,000 credits. I think I'll stick with my method.

The only way I could see this being worth it would be if you don't have access to the cutter. But like, doesn't almost everyone these days have a cutter?

You don't need to travel a whole lot*, and with an ASP it's rather quick.

*that is, if you use the Lave cluster or the Altair - Fujin "cluster".

Then again, if you have a cutter**, mass hauling might become the fastest way.

**which not everyone has.

I've tested these routes in my Asp. I've never done the whole route as the Asp is usually full after about 6 stops, so was only half as far as you describe. The profit for 72 tons is usually around 1.3 million.
I prefer rares trading to A-B-A bulk trading - I only do that for CGs. I don't have the rank for a Cutter, still don't have the rank for the Clipper that I do own.
