Galactic Map Default problem...

Every time I log in, the first time I go to the galactic map the default is stuck on MAP VIEW (as opposed to REALISTIC or now POWERPLAY) and the filter is always showing just FEDERATION systems (show by colour-allegiance) and all the others are unselected.

I change it every time I log in. And it never remembers those new settings, defaulting to this setup every time. It's driving me nuts.

Anyone know how to force the map to remember new settings from session to session?

It can't be done. I logged this as a 'only some map settings are saved per sesson' bug months ago, so I guess they'll get around to it.

Yeah, real pain.
ED dev team doesn't seem to have done much state analysis.
It's these little things that count for so much pain for users.
The attention to detail is so important.

Same here and with all filter options back on. As I'm out exploring at the moment it's a bit of a pain to reset all the filters every time I log in. Before v1.3 the galaxy map remembered all the previous settings but not now.

Mine never remembers that I've turned off 'Show Star Names' (many many times).

And those blue discs under the stars are a pain in the tush.

my map display is stuck on the display and filter settings I had active before the initial 1.3.0 patch.

LOL. Well, it's not just me then...

My map doesn't even work...it's been a week and I can't plot a course right next to me...Is there an issue I don't know about or a thread on this? I can't seem to find one.
