Galactic Map: Where did the "Black Hole" star class checkbox go?

As it says on the tin.

In 1.1 I remember selecting a number of black holes and visiting them. I have noticed that the black hole check box is no longer available... Is it just me? Is it back in 1.3?

Edit: And no, selecting non sequence doesn't include black holes.

Black holes are listed under "non sequence stars" I believe. Guess they didn't want to make it too easy to find them!

No dice, unfortunately: They do not appear on the map. Try it: HIP 63835 select non sequence... nothing.

It only appears if you select O type because there just happens to be an "O" type in the system.

It will only show the main star not all of the ones in the system.

Getting a system with a black hole orbiting another larger 'fuelled' one is pot luck.

As far as I know the Galaxy Map filters and lists systems by the body with the greatest mass, which is where you'll jump in. That's why in a system with a huge O you'll see a blue dot instead of white.

I know O types are supposed to be a good source of BH, but in 200 Kylie, I don't think I have ever run across one.

then why doesn't sgr A* show up?

I would guess that is because it is a unique object - IIRR it is listed as a "Supermassive Black Hole" whereas common-or-garden black holes are listed as "Black Hole."

that sounds reasonable... ill flag it as a bug anyway, since the check box has definitely disappeared.

i just get a grey haze for sgr a*

Yeah I'd say it's a bug all right. Haven't seen that one before. Hope you get it fixed in short order!

Black holes show up under Non Sequence. They're of course rare, but that's where they are.

Along with Neutrons and AE/BE i think.

Check about 1000 - 1200 ly up in plane and start looking at the outer area of the "core", and you'll find plenty.

AE/BE show up under "proto stars". White Dwarves have their own filter. AFAIK Non-sequence is just BH and NS primaries.

are a pretty good source of non sequence partner stars, as well as Os.

Near the core the planetary nebulae (i think) show up as fuzzy greyish balls , which can make it really hard to spot the well defined grey balls for non sequence stars.

As my fellow explorer said :) I am putting together a list of star classes(the rarer ones).
