Galaxy Escape Failed

It seems I've run out of stars. Well, jump range wise anyway. I'm at HYPOAE FLEE HW-N D6-0, and my J3 range of 97.57Ly is just not high enough to see me further towards west. Closest star is 102.63Ly away, so a better FSD roll putting me just over 54Ly would have given me a few more jumps. Oh, well, next time perhaps.

One (or two actually) nice thing about the area, is that neither Allitnil or Stupid_Hippy seems to have been here :)

Oh, I will add a bookmark. I am going that way and my range is 119.67 with J3. hoping to get there before summer :D

Well done Commander! o7!

Did you see any alien lifeforms on the planets or did you just skim ahead without looking closer?

If not, I recommend you check some planets out and report back! A screen shot maybe? I can't imagine the darkness.

Go a bit further out and....

... you still won't see any tags from me [haha]

but I'm sure you'll find plenty from Stulli as he's comprehensively mapped out the south-western rim

ps: lovely fumerole shot, I've still not found any volcanism!

I'm approaching Colonia from "an unusual direction" and am finding lots of neutrons stars and white dwarfs all untagged :)

I've even left some un-scanned - aren't I nice :D

Nice of you, but you probably only scanned 0.000000026% of all the NS in the galaxy. Still, nice of you :D

Phew, you gave me bit of a scare there, CMDR :)

Just out of curiosity, how far west have you gone?

Thanks for your kind remark for the picture. I'm very happy that I finally found a fumerole field.

Add hamstelBaster to the southern part too... I am trying a full circunnavegation of the galaxy visiting all the systems in the edge and he tagged almost all of them in this sector.

Sounds like quite a journey you're on, CMDR. Can't imagine riding the edge like that, I'm spending J1-3 like candy trying to get back to normal route plotting again, untangling myself from the outer rim.

Fly safe, CMDR.

Ah, well, whilst I've not spent much time on the western rim I did get to the furthest most proc-gen system in that direction last August. That's Sphiesi HX-L d7-0 at 42213.8125 west of Sol.

hamstelBaster is Stulli's alternate CMDR name so it's still him.

Good luck on making it the whole way around, you've got a lot more patience than me if you can manage it! I've covered about a quarter of the outer rim comprising much of the Outer arm from the Southern meridian eastward and then on a separate trip all of the Perseus arm and then the Sagitarius-Carina arm to a bit north of the galactic meridian. But by then I was thoroughly sick of spending so much time looking for jumponium that I gave up. On that second trip I had done just over 1500 jumponium boosts including some 450+ premium ones and just couldn't stomach the thought of another several months to go all the way around. I can do extreme stuff if it doesn't take more than a few weeks but I don't have it in me to do the many-month or even years trips that some CMDRs manage.

Oh, I didn't know it was his second account. Good to know.

90% of the jumps require jumponium (I will try to get better statistics at the end of the trip or when I die), and always "short" on Niobium.

I went to the easy side (south) to Pheia Thua, total trip of 31,000LY (there and back). Almost killed me. The size of the galaxy makes my stomach hurt. You guys must have something in your blood.[up]
